Sec. 99x.
(1) From the general fund money appropriated under section 11, there is allocated for 2018-2019 an amount not to exceed $300,000.00 for Teach for America to host a summer training institute in the city of Detroit, recruit teachers into a master teacher fellowship, and retain a committed alumni community. A program funded under this section must provide coaching and professional development, with the goal to produce highly effective teachers that move pupils beyond their growth benchmarks.
(2) Notwithstanding section 17b, payments made under this section shall be made not later than March 1, 2019.
