The Member may submit to the Provider Law Firm for review up to 10 legal documents per Membership Year (no more than 3 per month) related to business matters and in which the Member is named as a contracting party, with each document being no more than 15 pages in length.
The Member must send only a copy of the document to be reviewed and must keep the original document. The Provider Law Firm will review the copy of the document and advise the Member by phone call.
Legal advice will be provided by the Provider Law Firm on any areas of concern, the legal implications of those provisions of the document, and the document’s compliance with state and federal law.
The following documents and related legal services are excluded from and not covered by the document review service:
• Documents that are more than 15 pages in length, as well as those that exceed the allotted 10 per year or 3 per month, will be provided at a flat rate of $75 dollars per document.
• Documents in ongoing court proceedings or lawsuits or administrative proceedings are not covered. Examples of documents that are not covered include, without limitation, petitions, complaints, motions or other requests for relief, subpoenas, discovery requests or responses, applications for injunctive relief, applications for restraining orders, show cause orders, proposed judgments, and other matters submitted for judicial determination.
• Revisions or amendments to the documents, or the negotiation of the terms of the documents reviewed by the Provider Law Firm are not covered.
• Any matters for which legal services are provided under other provisions of the Nonprofit Business Legal Plan Contract are not covered.
