“U.S. No. 2” consists of oranges which meet the following requirements:
Basic requirements:
Discoloration:
Not more than one-half of the surface, in the aggregate, may be affected by discoloration. (See § 51.700.)
Fairly firm;
Mature;
Similar varietal characteristics;
Reasonably well colored;
Not more than slightly misshapen, and,
Not more than slightly rough.
Free from:
Bruises;
Cuts not healed;
Decay;
Growth cracks; and,
Wormy fruit.
Not seriously damaged by any other cause.
