RCW 46.25.055 Medical examiner's certificate—Required. (Effective until June 1, 2020.)

A person may not drive a commercial motor vehicle unless he or she is physically qualified to do so and, except as provided in 49 C.F.R. Sec. 391.67, has on his or her person the original, or a photographic copy, of a medical examiner's certificate that he or she is physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.

Medical examination and certification—Required—Exception. (Effective June 1, 2020.)

Except as provided in 49 C.F.R. Sec. 391.67 as it existed on April 30, 2019, or such subsequent date as may be provided by the department by rule, consistent with the purposes of this section, a person may not drive a commercial motor vehicle unless he or she is physically qualified to do so and is medically examined and certified in accordance with procedures provided in 49 C.F.R. Sec. 391.43 as it existed on April 30, 2019, or such subsequent date as may be provided by the department by rule, consistent with the purposes of this section.
