(1) on full-time active service with a branch of the armed forces of the United States, including an applicant who is on full-time active duty orders with the National Guard or reserve component of the armed forces; or
(2) receiving public assistance through one of the following programs administered by the Department of Workforce Services: (a) the Family Employment Program described in Section 35A-3-302; or (b) General Assistance described in Section 35A-3-401.
