Sec. 3897.053. ELIGIBILITY. (a) To be qualified to serve as a director, a person must be:

(1) an owner of real property in the district; or

(2) an employee of a person described by Subdivision (1).

(b) Section 49.052, Water Code, does not apply to the district.
