§ 5-65-18. Mechanics' lien notice. As applicable to and in accordance with § 5-65-1 et seq., all written contracts entered into between a contractor under this chapter and a property owner must contain a statement that the contractor, subcontractors, or materialpersons may file a lien in accordance with the Rhode Island mechanics' lien law, chapter 28 of title 34. In the event that mechanics' liens are filed and there is no serious dispute, but merely a failure to pay, then the board may impose a suspension of the registration until such time as the liens are satisfied, either by payment, deposit of the funds in the registry of the court, or with the board.
