§ 45-48.1-27. Severability. This chapter shall be construed in all respects to meet all constitutional requirements. In carrying out the purposes and provisions of this chapter, all steps shall be taken which are necessary to meet constitutional or other legal requirements whether or not these steps are expressly required by statute. If, after the application of the provisions of this section, any of the provisions of this chapter, or its application to any circumstances, shall be held unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, that decision shall not affect or impair the validity of the application of those provisions to other circumstances or the validity of any of the other provisions of this chapter.
