§ 44-20-3. Penalties for unlicensed business. Any distributor or dealer who sells, offers for sale, or possesses with intent to sell, cigarettes and/or any other tobacco products without a license as provided in § 44-20-2, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be fined not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for each offense, or be imprisoned for a term not to exceed one (1) year, or be punished by both a fine and imprisonment.
