§ 42-16.1-17. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this chapter or the application of any part to any person or circumstances shall, for any reason, be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, that judgment does not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this chapter and the application of this chapter to other persons or circumstances, but is confined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this chapter directly involved in the controversy in which the judgment has been rendered and to the person or circumstances involved.
