§ 36-10-22. Retention of death benefit coverage by general assembly member not reelected. If any present or former member of the general assembly who is a member of the system, who is not reelected, desires to retain his or her ordinary death benefit insurance coverage, he or she shall be allowed to do so providing that he or she pays an annual contribution of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per year for each year the insurance is carried by the member or former member of the general assembly.
