§ 16-32-2. Continuation of powers of board. [Effective until February 1, 2020.] The change in name shall in no way affect the powers and duties of the board of governors for higher education defined in chapter 59 of this title; and the board of governors for higher education shall be responsible for the control, management, and operation of the University of Rhode Island in the same manner as previously it was responsible for the control, management, and operation of it under the name of Rhode Island State College.
