1. The Board shall examine every applicant for a license as a euthanasia technician in order to determine his or her qualifications, and may issue or deny a license on the basis of the examination. All examinees must be tested by a written examination which may be supplemented by oral interviews and practical demonstrations as the Board considers necessary.
2. The Board may waive the practical examination requirements of subsection 1 if an applicant submits to the Board proof that he or she is licensed by an agency which the Board determines has substantially equivalent examination requirements as the practical examination requirements of the Board.
