The Superintendent of Public Instruction may appoint such deputy superintendents as the execution of the Superintendent’s duties may require. A deputy superintendent may perform any duty required of the Superintendent of Public Instruction during the absence of the Superintendent and shall do such work as the Superintendent may direct under the laws of the State.
