286.3-210 Powers of banks or trust companies. Any bank or trust company organized under the laws of this state may: (1) Be appointed and act as guardian of infants, executors, administrator or curator of estates of decedents, guardian or conservator of persons adjudged mentally disabled, receiver or trustee for persons or estates; (2) Act as agent for the transaction of any business or the management of estates, the collection of rents, accounts, interest, dividends, notes, bonds, securities for money and debts, and demands of every character; (3) Receive on deposit and for safekeeping, gold, silver, jewelry, money and other personal property of every kind, and shall have a lien upon all personal property deposited with it for its charge. Acts ch. 396, sec. 87 would have amended this section effective July 1, 1982. However, 1980 Ky. Acts ch. 396 was repealed by 1982 Ky. Acts ch. 141, sec. 146, also effective July 1,1982.
