199.493 Prohibition against payment of attorney's fees of biological parent without court approval -- Penalty. (1) No adoptive parent, proposed adoptive parent, agency, or intermediary shall pay the attorney's fees of a biological parent for any purpose related to an adoption action except as approved by the court. (2) Any person who violates subsection (1) of this section shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. Effective: July 15, 1994 History: Created 1994 Ky. Acts ch. 242, sec. 21, effective July 15, 1994.
