72-3813. Career technical education fund; source of payment of tuition; transfers from general fund authorized, when. The school district in which a student is enrolled shall pay the tuition of such student to attend any career technical education course or program when such attendance is approved as provided in K.S.A. 72-3812, and amendments thereto, from its vocational education fund, except that any board receiving funds under an agreement under K.S.A. 72-3814, and amendments thereto, shall pay such tuition when the student is enrolled in a school district which is a party to the agreement if the agreement so provides. In the case of a school district which is not a party to an agreement under K.S.A. 72-3814, and amendments thereto, should there be insufficient or no moneys in the career technical education fund to pay such tuition, the board of education shall transfer from the general fund to the career technical education fund such amount as will satisfy the insufficiency.
