72-247. Abolition of office of state superintendent of public instruction; continuation of contracts. The office of state superintendent of public instruction is hereby abolished at 10:00 o'clock a.m. on January 14, 1969. Any contract, agreement or assurance entered into after the effective date of this act by the state superintendent of public instruction shall be subject to amendment, termination or revocation by the state board established under this act at any time after January 13, 1969, and unless so changed shall remain in full force and effect without necessity of ratification or any other action by the state board of education.
