The department may:
(a) Conduct such relationships with agencies of the governments of municipalities, counties, other states, and the United States as are appropriate in the discharge of its functions.
(b) Conduct exchanges of management information and experience with appropriate governmental agencies.
(c) Co-ordinate its efforts with and seek the counsel of the various agencies within the state government concerned with budget analysis to obtain their views on methods of reducing budgets and costs.
(d) Conduct such relationships with business, industry, and educational institutions as are appropriate in the discharge of its functions.
(e) Conduct correspondence and exchanges of information with, and maintain memberships in appropriate professional and business organizations to keep abreast of the latest and best management thought and practice.
(f) Maintain direct contact with and seek the counsel and support of special boards, commissions, or committees from business and industry created to foster the economical use of labor, materials, and money in government.
