To be considered an eligible catfish producer, an participant must:
Raise catfish in a controlled environment and be physically located in an eligible county on the beginning date of the disaster period;
Maintain the catfish for commercial use as part of a farming operation;
Have a risk in production of such catfish; and
Have suffered one of the following types of losses relating to catfish feed as a direct result of the county's disaster event that occurred in that year:
Physical loss of feed that was damaged or destroyed,
Cost to the extent allowed by FSA, associated with lost feeding days, or
Cost associated with increased feed prices.
