Partial withdrawal. A participant can elect to withdraw a portion of his or her account balance in a single payment and leave the rest in the TSP until a later date, subject to § 1650.16 and the following requirements:
The participant is eligible for a partial withdrawal only if he or she did not make an age-based in-service withdrawal from that account.
The participant may not elect a partial withdrawal of less than $1,000.
Only one partial withdrawal from that account is permitted.
Full withdrawal. A participant can elect to withdraw his or her entire account balance in a single payment.
