No Federal employee whose duties include responding to interrogatories pursuant to § 581.303(b), shall be subject to any disciplinary action or civil or criminal liability or penalty for any disclosure of information made by him/her in connection with the carrying out of any duties pertaining directly or indirectly to answering such interrogatories.
However, a governmental entity would not be precluded from taking disciplinary action against an employee who consistently or purposely failed to provide correct information requested by interrogatories.
