§ 11.406 - Criminal coercion.

A person is guilty of criminal coercion if, with purpose to unlawfully restrict another's freedom of action to his or her detriment, he or she threatens to:

Commit any criminal offense; or

Accuse anyone of a criminal offense; or

Take or withhold action as an official, or cause an official to take or withhold action.

Criminal coercion is classified as a misdemeanor.
