With respect to a covered workplace for which a contractor is responsible, the contractor must:
Provide a place of employment that is free from recognized hazards that are causing or have the potential to cause death or serious physical harm to workers; and
Ensure that work is performed in accordance with:
All applicable requirements of this part; and
The worker safety and health program for that workplace.
The written worker safety and health program must describe how the contractor complies with the:
Requirements set forth in subpart C of this part that are applicable to the hazards associated with the contractor's scope of work; and
Any compliance order issued by the Secretary pursuant to § 851.4.
