Art. 693. Insurer in receivership
The receiver appointed by a court of this state for a domestic insurer is the proper plaintiff to sue to enforce a right of the domestic insurer, or of its receiver.
Except as otherwise provided by law, the ancillary receiver appointed by a court of this state for a foreign or alien insurer is the proper plaintiff to sue to enforce a right of the foreign or alien insurer, or of its domiciliary or ancillary receiver.
As used herein and in Article 741, "receiver" includes liquidator, rehabilitator, and conservator.
