61.912 Power of arrest. Any duly commissioned special law enforcement officer shall, while performing law enforcement duties upon the public property he is hired to protect, be empowered to arrest: (1) Persons committing, in his presence and upon the public property he is hired to protect, any misdemeanor, any traffic violation, or any other violation as defined by KRS 500.080(17); (2) Provided there exists probable cause to believe a felony has been committed upon the premises he is hired to protect, any person whom the officer reasonably and actually believes to have committed such felony upon the public property.
