Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "health care system" means an entity that includes all of the following:
(1) A hospital that:
(A) is licensed under IC 16-21;
(B) has a labor and delivery unit;
(C) has a special care nursery or neonatal intensive care unit;
(D) has a postpartum unit with hardwired monitoring for purposes of detecting opioid withdrawal; and
(E) has behavioral health services, including:
(i) a walk in and call in behavioral health crisis center that is available twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week;
(ii) an inpatient psychiatry and substance abuse disorder unit; and
(iii) outpatient and home based care;
available to expectant and postpartum mothers.
(2) Physicians licensed under IC 25-22.5, as follows:
(A) At least one (1) who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology.
(B) At least:
(i) one (1) who specializes in family medicine; or
(ii) two (2), one (1) of whom specializes in internal medicine and one (1) of whom specializes in pediatrics.
(C) At least one (1) who specializes in psychiatry or who is board certified in addiction medicine.
(3) Social work and behavioral health providers licensed under IC 25-23.6.
(4) Registered nurses licensed under IC 25-23.
