Each scholarship is for a period of one semester. A scholarship may be renewed, as long as the educational assistant continues to meet the conditions of eligibility, until the educational assistant graduates from a public post-secondary educational institution.

Effective dates. — Laws 2019, ch. 230 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective June 14, 2019, 90 days after the adjournment of the legislature.
