An initial training course covers the following areas of knowledge:

Applicable regulations relating to small unmanned aircraft system rating privileges, limitations, and flight operation;

Effects of weather on small unmanned aircraft performance;

Small unmanned aircraft loading;

Emergency procedures;

Crew resource management;

Determining the performance of small unmanned aircraft; and

Maintenance and preflight inspection procedures.

A recurrent training course covers the following areas of knowledge:

Applicable regulations relating to small unmanned aircraft system rating privileges, limitations, and flight operation;

Emergency procedures;

Crew resource management; and

Maintenance and preflight inspection procedures.
